Subscription Transparency and SaaS

In today’s era of “subscriptions everywhere” I sometimes feel like I need an attorney to review all my user agreements before I sign up for anything.

I have to review every charge on my credit cards (personal and business) to make sure that a service that has been discontinued is no longer billing me or that my termination options are indeed what they appear to be.

It’s with this in mind that I find SaneBox‘s customer service so refreshing in this obfuscated, subscription-based world we now live.

Every month, I receive the following email from SaneBox, seven days before my subscription is about to renew.

It tells me how much they will charge me and even gives me the option to upgrade, downgrade or cancel my subscription.

When was the last time you experienced that with any subscription you have?
