If you haven't heard, Audible Wordcast is shutting down. While I agree with Michael Geohegan's quick post mortem, I don't completely agree with Rob Safuto's. (I haven't spoken with Rob in a while, so I'll buy him a beer and share my perspective...)
As you might expect from that lil' tidbit of podcasting news, I'll be leaving Audible at the end of June. I joined the company to help introduce them to the value of UGC and the revenue streams that come from ad-supported media. But, as they say, change is hard.
On to Gig 2.0.
