NYC Podcasting Association

Last night, I attended the April meeting of the NYC Podcasting Association, an eclectic group of podcasters, technologists and corporate types interested in the media phenomenon of podcasting.

An interesting bunch, to say the least. Following the meeting, I had the pleasure of speaking with Mike Dunn of Nomadic Audio and Rob Safuto of PodcastNYC.net.

You'll probably get to hear the conversations on PodcastNYC as Rob had his iRiver and lapel mic recording the entire time. (Well, not the entire time. The group agreed that the actual meeting should be a Podcast Free Zone for the time being. The post-meeting conversations were recorded.)

The next meeting is May 18th. I've offered to help Doug Kersten pull things together both from goal setting and organizational perspectives. I have some experience doing this sort of thing... ;)
